Each year at this time, we are asked to complete a Covenant of Membership at Ebenezer. Through this process, we are encouraged to examine the ways in which each of us has been blessed and how each of us shares in the mission of our community.
We ask you to spend time with all of the members of your household to prayerfully reflect upon your Covenant this year. We encourage you to:
- Reflect upon the presence of God in your life,
- Rejoice in the abundance that God has provided for you and
- Respond to God’s love by sharing the gifts of your time, talents and treasure.
Like the interlocking gears in this year’s logo, we know that each of these actions will move the others into action. The logo also reminds us that each of us is an integral part of our Community and that we rely on each other’s shared actions.
We ask you to “Reflect, Rejoice and Respond” by returning the completed Covenant Forms on or before Covenant Sunday (November 21st). A complete copy of forms was sent to you in the mail. Also, additional copies will be placed in the narthex.
On Covenant Sunday (November 21st), we will gather together to bless the returned Covenants and celebrate with a Covenant Potluck lunch after the 10:30 a.m. worship service.
Look out for the “Reflect, Rejoice and Respond” reminders at Sunday worship in November. The visuals will help us all to remember that we’re all connected in the shared mission of our community. We look forward to hearing back from you!
